Ethics Panel Protocol
|
Any outfitter not meeting the highest standards, will not be a member of the KOA.
In 2005, the Kansas Legislature voted to end the professional license requirements
in Kansas. In response, the KOA has created a 5 member panel to oversee membership,
respond to complaints, and build accountability for members within the KOA.
Based on the information provided by clients, the panel will review their
complaint and issue a response to the client and outfitter. The accused outfitter
has 30 working days to issue a response to the ethics panel. Based on the review,
the ethics panel may:
a. Dismiss the charges
b. Issue a warning to the outfitter
c. Issue a warning and place the outfitter on probation
d. Revoke the outfitter's membership in the Association
The ethics panel will maintain files of complaints for future reference.
